Loretta Teixeira

Loretta (Brown) Teixeira 73 of New Bedford passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday June 6, 2012. She was the wife of the late Antonio “Tony” Teixeira and daughter of the late Merrill and Mary (Belaire) Brown. She was born in New Bedford and was a lifelong resident. She was formerly employed by Almacs as a meat cutter until her retirement. Survivors include her children Lisa Bingham and her husband Eric of Stuart, FL, Gary Teixeira and his wife Deb of Glendale, AZ, Lynn Lalonde and her husband Chris of South Dartmouth; her sisters Gloria Henrique of Swansea, MA, Noreen Marshall of Springfield, MA; her grandsons Cody Smith, Cameron Lalonde, Kyle Teixeira, Anthony Teixeira; several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Karen Lynn Teixeira and sister of the late Louis Brown, Dennis Brown, Lorraine Demers and Beverly Cote. Her funeral service will be held Tuesday 11:30 am at the Boulevard Funeral Home 223 Ashley Blvd. Visiting hours are Monday 6-8pm. Burial will be in sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Community Hospice of Fairhaven.
