Maria Cunha

Maria (Agrela) Cunha, 88 of New Bedford passed away Wednesday July 28, 2010 at home. She was the wife of the late Francisco Cunha and daughter of the late Julio and Isabel (de Jesus) Agrela. Maria was born on the Island of Madeira and lived in New Bedford since 1967. She was communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. She was an inspector at Cliftex until her retirement. Survivors include her son Francisco Agrela Cunha of South Africa; Three daughters Maria Jose Paiva, Ana Maria Cunha both of New Bedford and Ligia T. Daffinee of Acushnet; Two sisters Isabel Negreiro and Maria L. Mello both of New Bedford; She had eleven grand children, seventeen great grandchildren and ,many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Manuel Agrela Cunha and sister of the late Conceicao Sylvia and Mary Silva. Her funeral mass will be said 8am Saturday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Visitation will be Friday 5-8pm.Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery
