Maria Garcia

Maria Eduarda Garcia 82 of New Bedford passed away Saturday October 27, 2012 at St. Luke’s hospital. She was the daughter of the late Manuel and Conceicao Garcia. She was born in St. Michael, Azores and lived part time in New Bedford and St. Michael for many years. She was employed as a school teacher in St. Michael. While in New Bedford she was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception church. Survivors include her Godchildren Lidia Lopes of New Bedford, Ana Costa of R.I., Almerinda Silva of CA, Marie Pereira of CA and Alda Raposo of Bermuda. She was the sister of the late Eduardo Garcia. Her funeral mass will be said 9am Friday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Visiting hours are Thursday 5-8pm.Burial will be in Pine Grove cemetery.
