Maria Guerra

Maria Cecilia (Alves) Guerra 92 of New Bedford passed away Friday May 17, 2019 at the Sippican Healthcare Center. She was the widow of Jacinto P. Guerra and daughter of the late Artur and Raquel Maria (DaSilva) Alves. She was born in Torres Vedras, Portugal and had lived in New Bedford for many years. Maria was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. She was formerly employed as a seamstress for Delilah’s Bridal Salon. Survivors include her son Nelson W. Guerra and wife Linda of Mansfield, MA; her daughters Kelly Patricio of Marion and Kitty Baptista of Berkley, MA. 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. A funeral mass, with her cremated remains present, will be said 10:30am, Friday May 31, 2019 at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. A visitation will be held 9:00am -10:00am at the Boulevard Funeral Home 223 Ashley Blvd. In lieu of flowers donations maybe made to the American Stroke Foundation 6405 Metcalf Ave. Suite 214  Overland Park, KS 66202
