Maria Lima

Maria Fatima (Moniz) Lima 64 of New Bedford, died Tuesday December 15, 2009 after a long illness, at Rhode Island hospital. She was the wife of Norbert Lima. She was born in St. Michael, Azores and had lived in New Bedford since 1973. She was formerly employed as a floor worker at Knapp Shoes. Mrs. Lima was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception church and was a member of the charismatic group. Survivors include her sons Luis Lima and Michael Lima both of New Bedford. 3 grandchildren; 3 brothers, 2 sisters in Canada and Portugal, several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the funeral home Saturday at 8am followed by her funeral mass at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception church at 9am. Visitation will be 5-8pm on Friday. Burial will be in Sacred Heart cemetery.
