Maria Pacheco

Maria (Matos) Pacheco 88 of New Bedford passed away Sunday June 15, 2014 at the Sippican Healthcare Center. She was the widow of Manuel Pacheco and daughter of the late Joao and Almerinda (Arruda) Matos. She was born in Fayal, Azores and had lived in New Bedford since 1970. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Mrs. Pacheco was formerly employed as a stitcher at Ginger Peachy Manufacturing until her retirement. Survivors include her daughters Ilda Gunberg and her husband Lance, Maria Silva and her husband Rui all of New Bedford; 2 grandsons Michael Silva and his wife Katelin and Scott Silva. Visiting hours are Tuesday June 17, 2014 6-8pm. Her funeral mass will be said 9am Wednesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery.
