Maria Raquel 89 of New Bedford, passed away October 23, 2017 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Artur Morais and Camila Amaral. She was born in Vouzila, Portugal and had lived in New Bedford since 2001. Maria was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Survivors include her son Daniel Morais and his wife Ilda of New Bedford; her granddaughter Sonia Morais Rodrigues of Hollywood, Florida; her great-granddaughter Camila Rodrigues. Maria also has brothers and sisters in Portugal and Australia. She was the grandmother of the late Marco Morais. Visitation will be Thursday 5-8pm. Her funeral mass will be said 9am Friday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
