Maria Rebelo

Maria Lucia (Cardoso) Rebelo, 76, a beloved mother, daughter, and friend, passed away on September 4, 2023, in Tampa, Florida.

Maria was predeceased by her mother Maria Jose Cardoso and her father Jose Linhares De Deus. 

Maria was a devoted mother to her four children: Roy Rebelo, Monica (Rebelo) Cortes , Nelson Rebelo, and Ozzie Rebelo. 

Born in Ribeira Quente, St. Michael, Azores, She came to America in 1983 where she worked in the Factory Mills. She has 3 sisters and 1 brother and is survived by her only living sister, Eulalia Oliveira. She has 10 grandchildren and 4 great, grand kids, many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is a devout woman of God.

A Visitation will be held on September 21, 2023 to honor her memory at Boulevard Funeral Home located at 223 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford, MA 02746. The Visitation will begin at 8:00 AM and conclude at 9:30 AM. Following the Visitation, a Mass will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel located at 230 Bonney St., New Bedford, MA 02744 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. Finally, Maria will be laid to rest at Rural Cemetery located at 149 Dartmouth St., New Bedford, MA 02740 in a Burial ceremony from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM.

Maria's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. As we mourn her loss, let us always remember the remarkable impact she had on our lives. Her legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will forever remain in our hearts.
