Maria Silva

Maria N. (Medeiros) Silva 88 of Acushnet, passed away Wednesday February 13, 2019 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of Jose A. Silva and daughter of the late Antonio D. Medeiros and Maria L. Cruz. She was born in St.Michael, Azores and had lived in this area since 1964. Maria was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church in Acushnet. She was formerly employed as a stitcher for Cliftex and Calvin Clothing before her retirement. Survivors include her husband; her brother Jose A. Medeiros and his wife Maria of New Bedford, also many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Humberto Linhares and Normenia Junipero. Visiting hours are Monday 5-8pm at the funeral home. Her funeral mass will be said Tuesday 10am at St. Francis Xavier Church in Acushnet. Burial will be in Tabor Cemetery, Acushnet.
