Maria Helena Valente

Maria Helena (Silva) Valente, 59 of New Bedford, passed away on Monday, August 15th. Born in Murtosa, Portugal she was the daughter of the late David Lopes DaSilva and late Maria Adalia Pereira DaSilva. Upon coming to the United States in November of 1993, Maria worked as an operator for AFC Cable Systems. She is survived by her daughter Tania Costa; son, Nuno Miguel Valente; sisters, Maria Manuela Pereira DaSilva, Paula Christine Pereira Rebello; grandchildren, Taylor Danielle Melendez, Marcio Valente, Devon Costa, Savannah Valente; and great grandson, Demetreous Valente. Maria is preceded in death by her sister Maria Eduarda DosSantos. A visitation with prayer service will be held for Maria on Friday, August 19th at the Boulevard Funeral Home from 5-8pm. In accordance with her wishes, cremation will follow.
