Maria "Isabel" Cardoso

New Bedford Maria Da Gloria “Isabel” (Freitas) Cardoso 96 of New Bedford passed away Monday January 6, 2020 at her home. She was the wife of the late Manuel Moniz Cardoso and daughter of the late Angelo Fagundo Da Fonseca and Maria Da Gloria Freitas. She was born in Fayal de Terra, St. Michael, Azores and had lived in New Bedford for the past 18 years. Survivors include her daughters Fatima Cardoso Dias and her fiancée Ed Correia of New Bedford, Isabel Borges and her husband Fred of East Freetown; her grandchildren Paul Dias and his wife Debbie, Robert Dias and his spouse Ron Costa and Jennifer Dias. She is also survived by her great grandsons Owen and Jack. Her funeral mass will be said 10am Saturday January 11 at St. Joseph-St. Therese Church. Visiting hours are Friday January 10 from 5-8pm at the Boulevard Funeral Home 223 Ashley Blvd. Burial will be in St. Michael.
