Mark Fitzsimmons

Mark J. Fitzsimmons 58 of Fairhaven passed away Tuesday November 1, 2016 at home. He was the husband of Rebecca (Desjeunes) Fitzsimmons and son of Robert and Elizabeth (Lorette) Fitzsimmons of Florida. He was born in Rutland, VT and had lived in this area since 1962. Mark was the proprietor of It’s A Pleasure Building and Property Maintenance. He was formerly the ice hockey and lacrosse coach at GNBRVTHS; he was a member of the Fairhaven Varsity Club and a diehard sports fan. Survivors include his wife, his parents, 2 brothers David Fitzsimmons, his wife Debra and their children Matthew and Katelyn of New Bedford, Robert Fitzsimmons, his wife Joanne and their children Kyle and Meghan of New Hampshire; a nephew who he raised as a son, Malcom Shurtleff Jr. of Fairhaven; a step daughter Kerry Lynch of Fairhaven, 2 grandchildren Kaylin Rae Lynch and Liam Lynch, also several nieces and nephews. He was the step father of the late Sarah Jane Hanrahan.
