Mary Amaral

Mary (Jeronimo) Amaral 91 formerly of New Bedford passed away Wednesday June 8, 2016 at the Sippican Healthcare Center. She was the wife of the late John M. Amaral and daughter of the late Manuel and Elvira (Pacheco) Jeronimo. She was born in Acushnet and had lived in New Bedford all of her life. Mary was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. She was formerly employed at Aerovox for almost 50 years, until her retirement. Survivors include her son Robert J. Amaral (JMcKeever) of St. Louis; nieces, nephews, cousins as well as several great nieces and nephews from both the Amaral and Jeronimo families. Relative and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass with her cremated remains present on Friday June 17 at 9am at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Mary will be buried in Pine Grove Cemetery next to her beloved husband.Donations in Mary’s name may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society of Immaculate Conception Church 136 Earle St. New Bedford, MA 02746.
