Michael Reis

Michael Reis 48 of New Bedford passed away Thursday June 7, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the son of Beverly (Platt) Amarantes of New Bedford and the late Robert Amarantes. He was born in Fall River and had lived in the Greater New Bedford area for many years. He was formerly employed by Zayres department store. Survivors include his mother; his brothers Stephen Amarantes of New Bedford, Robert Amarantes of Sommerville, Mark Amarantes of Fall River, David Reis of Arizona, Scott Amarantes of Fall River; his sisters Beverly Amarantes of New Bedford, Stacy Amarantes of New Bedford, Diana Sefrino of Fall River; his fiancee Janet Reyno of New Bedford; many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Holly Amarantes. Visiting hours are Tuesday 5-8pm. At his request he will be cremated.
