Michael Silva

Michael Andrew Silva, 56, passed away April 15, 2021 at St. Luke's hospital after a long illness. He was born in New Bedford on January 10, 1965 to the late Fernando "Fred" Silva and Lucille (Despres) Silva. He was a wanderer and loner with a huge heart of gold and had an encyclopedic knowledge of Rock n' Roll. He loved fishing with his daughter and spending time with his loving family. Survivors include his companion Wendy Harrison; daughter, Adrianna Silva; mother, Lucille Silva of New Bedford; sisters, Debra A. Fitzsimmons and husband David of New Bedford and Susan L. Deschamps and husband Dennis of Acushnet; nephew, Matthew Fitzsimmons and niece, Katelyn Fitzsimmons both of New Bedford. Services will be held at a later date.
