Minnie Blecharczyk

Minnie A. (Holmes) Blecharczyk 92 of New Bedford passed away Wednesday March 2, 2011 at St. Luke’s hospital. She was the widow of Edward F. Blecharczyk and daughter of the late Karl M. and Hazel E. (Demoranville) Holmes. She was a lifelong New Bedford resident. She was formerly employed by the city of New Bedford as supervisor of handicap people at work . She was an avid bingo player, loved puzzles and games shows. Survivors include her sons Edward Blechar of New Bedford, Michael Blechar of New Bedford, George Honeyman of Arizona; her daughters Barbara Frakes of New Bedford, Kathleen Mancuso of Florida; many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Her funeral service will 10am Monday. Visitation will be Sunday 5-8pm. Burial will be in Rural cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to her family would be greatly appreciated.
