Odette Nogueira

Odette (Santos) Nogueira 91 of New Bedford passed away at the Sacred Heart Home on Wednesday June 24, 2015. She was the wife of the late Clemente Nogueira and daughter of the late Manuel Santos and Assuncao Ferreira Goncalves. She was born in New Bedford and was raised in Portugal, before returning to New Bedford. Mrs. Nogueira was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. She was employed by Economy Blouse as a stitcher. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality of her church; she was a former member of the Immaculate Conception Seniors and the St. John Seniors. She was a very caring and giving person to all of her family. Survivors include her niece and main caregiver Maria Vaz of New Bedford and many other nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Ana Nelson, grandmother of the late Chris Nelson and Theresa Nelson, sister of the late Nataldina Pereira and Fernando Santos. Her funeral mass will be said 9am Saturday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Visiting hours are Friday 5-8pm. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery.
