Paulina Oliveira

Paulina (DaSilva) Oliveira 93 of New Bedford passed away suddenly on Sunday December 26, 2010 at St. Luke’s hospital. She was the widow of Jose C. Oliveira and daughter of the late Manuel Coelho DaSilva and Filomena Amelia DaSilva. She was born in Terceira, Azores and had lived in New Bedford since 1969. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception church. Mrs. Oliveira was formerly employed as a machine operator at J.I. Paulding until her retirement. Survivors include her sons Jose Oliveira and his wife Louisa of Fairhaven, Manuel Oliveira and his wife Jackie of Florida; her daughter Maria deMelo and her husband Antonio of New Bedford; her sisters Durvalina Costa of New Bedford, Deolinda Ourique of Taunton; 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson, many nieces and nephews. Her funeral mass will be said 9am Wednesday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception church. Visitation will 6-9pm Tuesday. Burial will be in Pine Grove cemetery.
