Ricardo Carreiro

Ricardo Carreiro 44 of Westport passed away Friday February 9, 2018 at home. He was the husband of Saundra McCallister for 17 years. He was also the son of Custodia Carreiro of St. Michael and the late Silvino Carreiro. He was born in St. Michael and lived in this area for many years. Ricardo was employed as a project manager for Pro Group Construction. He was a member of the Madeiros Clube and enjoyed going to the Modern Snack Bar both in Fall River. Survivors include his wife, his mother, his step son John Smith of Lowell, step daughter Hollie McCallister of Westport, his brothers Humberto Carreiro of Fall River, Silvino Carreiro of Portugal; his sisters Natalia, Susana and Paula Carreiro all of Portugal; 2 grandchildren Isabelle and Christian Smith of Lowell. He was also the step father of the late William Smith. He is also survived by 5 nieces, 2 nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. His visiting hours will be Friday 8:30 am until 10am.His funeral mass will be said at 10:30am at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, 136 Earle St. New Bedford. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
