Ricardo Meneses

Ricardo Meneses 69 of New Bedford passed away Monday February 25, 2019 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Arlete (Nunes) Meneses and son of the late Manuel and Francesca Meneses. He was born in Terceira, Azores and had lived in New Bedford since 1968. Ricardo was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. He was the co-owner of Century Tile with his step-son. He was a loving husband and loved to travel with his wife. Survivors include his wife, his step-son Joe Fernandes of New Bedford; his sisters Filomena Oliveira, Manuela Sousa, Belmira Medeiros, Eva Marques and Ana Lee all of New Bedford. He is also survived by 2 granddaughters, 3 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Helio Meneses. Visiting hours are Thursday 6-8pm.His funeral Mass will be 11am Friday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Relatives and friends are invited to go directly to church. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
