Rosa daSilva

Rosa (DaBraza-Fernandes) daSilva passed away at home on Thursday, January 14th, 2021. She was the wife of the late Antonio daSilva and daughter of the late Francisco DaBraza and Justina Gil. She was born in Montalegre, Portugal and moved the United States in 1966. Rosa was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church.  She was formerly employed as a stitcher, most prominently at Ronnie's Manufacturing. Rosa loved cooking and sharing her home grown vegetables. She was always happy to spend time with her loving family, going on her daily walks and greeting passerbys. Survivors include her daughters, Maria Calvao of North Dartmouth and Delores Furtado of New Bedford; sons, Mario daSilva of New Bedford and Antonio F daSilva Jr. of New Bedford; brother, Antonio Fernandes DaBraza of Milford; sisters, Albertina Miranda of Portugal, Arminda Carneiro of Milford, and Virginia DaBraza-Alves; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and godchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Jose daSilva and is predeceased by her sisters Anamaria Alves and Maria Lavbado. Due to COVD-19 restrictions her funeral services will be private. Arrangements are under the care of Boulevard Funeral Home 223 Ashley Blvd.
