Sara P. Veronica (Pacheco) Botelho 80 of Fairhaven passed away Friday August 31, 2012 at St. Luke’s hospital. She was the widow of William Botelho and daughter of the late Antonio Franco Pacheco and Maria Sophia (Mello) Pacheco. She was born in St. Michael, Azores and had lived in Fairhaven for many years. Mrs. Botelho was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception church. Survivors include her sons Michael Botelho of Fhvn. Antone Botelho of Fhvn., James Botelho of Fhvn., Manuel Botelho of Fhvn., Walter Botelho of Fhvn., Steven Botelho of New Bedford, William Botelho Jr. of Fhvn.; her daughters Irene Borges of FL, Maria Botelho of Fhvn., Catherine Chartier of Fhvn., Sara Botelho of New Bedford, Jaqueline Botelho of New Bedford, Linda Botelho of Fhvn.; her sisters Ernestina Souza of RI, Flausina Couto of Portugal, Celeste Carzalho of Portugal; 17 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Edward Botelho. Her funeral mass will be said 9am Wednesday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception church. Visiting will be Tuesday 5-9pm. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery.
