Silvino Arruda

Silvino Arruda 64 of New Bedford passed away Sunday October 5, 2014 at home. He was the husband of Fatima (Aguiar) Arruda and son of the late Francisco deSousa Arruda and Matilde (daConceicao) Arruda. He was born in Santo Antonio, St. Michael, Acores and had lived in New Bedford for many years. Mr. Arruda was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. He was formerly employed in construction as a laborer. Survivors include his wife; his brothers Jose Arruda and his wife Maria of New Bedford, Joao Arruda and his wife Eduarda of Fall River, Francis Arruda and his wife Rosa of New Bedford; his sister Eva Andrade and her husband Antonio of New Bedford; also many nieces and nephews. His funeral mass will be said 9am Thursday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Visiting hours are Wednesday 5-8pm.Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
