Stella Raposo

Stella (Amaral) Raposo, 67, of New Bedford, passed away on October 31, 2024. Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Dionisio Amaral and the late Maria (Raposo) Amaral and was the loving wife to the late Americo Sousa Raposo. 

Stella worked for many years as a Personal Care Attendant and exercised her passion for caring and working with people. She enjoyed walks around Fort Taber and spending time with her loving family. 

Survivors include her daughter, Nita Linhares and husband Gilly; sons, Nelson Raposo, Kenny Raposo and fiance Anna Alves; sisters, Lubelia DaCosta, Ida DaSilva, Gloria Amaral, Odilia Raposo; brothers, Eddie Amaral, Joe Amaral, Mario Xavier, Daniel Xavier, Dennis Xavier, Dinarte Xavier, Jimmy Xavier and Henry Amaral; Grandchildren, Brandon Linhares, Haylee Linhares, Justin Raposo, Alexia Raposo, Shane Raposo, Aiden Raposo, Cameron Raposo, Kingston Raposo, Collin Pimental, Owen Pimental, Noah Pimental, Sophia Pimental and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Stella is preceded in death by her husband, infant daughter Jennifer Raposo, daughter Jenn Raposo and brothers, Tony Amaral and Joao Xavier.

In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated.
