Teresa Poeira

Teresa (Gouveia) Poeira, 83, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on July 30,2024. Born in Santa Cruz, Madeira, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Antonio Gouveia and the late Miquelina Fernandes and the loving wife of Domingos Poeira. 

Teresa was a devout catholic and longtime parishioner of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Upon her arrival in the United States on July 31, 1977 she began working as a stitcher at Calvin Clothing. She could always be seen singing and dancing with a smile on her face. 

She is survived by her husband, Domingos; daughters, Sandra Poeira and Dianna Poeira; son Nelson Poeira and his wife, Kylene; sister, Laurinda Velosa and granddaughter, Brooke Poeira. 

Teresa's Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 2nd at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church at 10am. All are welcome to join us at the Boulevard Funeral Home prior to Mass at 9am. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
