Thelma L. Jason, 86 of Attleboro, MA died peacefully on March 12, 2019 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. Born in New Bedford on July 4, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Olive Nichols. She lived in East Freetown until 2000 when she moved to North Attleboro. In 2018, she moved to Christopher Heights Assisted Living in Attleboro, MA.Thelma was a graduate of New Bedford High School and completed Business and Secretarial School. She worked as a Bookkeeper for many years. Prior to retiring, she worked at the Attleboro Career Center and was a volunteer at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. She was married to her high school sweetheart, the late Carroll H. Jason Jr. She is survived by her three devoted children: Jay L. Jason and his wife Sally of Claremont, New Hampshire, Cindy N. Thorp of Mansfield and Becky L. Comery and her husband Matt of North Attleboro. Thelma had nine grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Thelma’s family was her pride and joy. She loved family get togethers, going out to restaurants, playing poker with friends, cribbage, knitting and making jewelry. She loved her cats and enjoyed giving treats to neighbors’ dogs. She would often be found drinking coffee and reading newspapers. She loved to read novels and listen to Patsy Cline. Services will be private.
