Theresa Duarte

Theresa (Bergeron) Duarte 92 of Dartmouth passed away Wednesday March 4 at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth. She was the widow of Orlando “Lindy” Duarte and daughter of the late Joseph A. and Evangeline (Goguen) Bergeron. She was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all of her life. Theresa was formerly employed as an inspector at Payne Cutlery. Theresa enjoyed going to Brandon Woods’s daycare. Survivors include her daughter Jamie Lavoie and her husband Robert of South Dartmouth; her step daughter Elizabeth Boulay of New Bedford; her brother Alfred Bergeron of New Bedford; 2 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was pre deceased by 7 brothers and sisters. Her funeral mass will be said 10am, Monday, March 9 at St. Julie Billiart Church, Dartmouth. Visiting hours will be Sunday, March 8 from 4-7. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
