Victor J. da Rosa, 57, of Acushnet, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022 at St. Luke’s hospital. He
was the loving partner for 16 years to Connie DeMelo. He was born in Faial, Azores, Portugal to
the late Luis Gonzaga da Rosa and the late Maria Dina (da Silva) da Rosa. Vic was the owner and
operator of Canvas Landscape and Excavating. He was a man of many talents and could fix just
about anything. He was fun-loving, caring and kind and always had an encouraging word for
anyone who reached out to him. What Vic enjoyed most of all was the company of his family
and friends. He loved spending time, laughing and sharing a good joke with them. He also
loved going to Maine with Connie and was an avid car and motorcycle fan. He was a proud dad,
brother, uncle, padrinho, partner, stepdad and step-grandfather. He is survived by his son
Jared da Rosa, his daughter Briana da Rosa and her fiancé, Zack DaCosta; his partner Connie
DeMelo; his step-daughter Debbie Arruda and her husband Paul; his brother Luis Gonzaga da
Rosa and wife Gloria; his sister Maria da Costa and her fiancé Brian and his twin sister Alice
Beauregard; his nieces Caitlin, Stephanie and her husband Nick; nephews, Zachary, Kyle and
Nicholas; his step-grandchildren Breanna, Tyler and Elijah; great-nieces, Andreia and Stellah
and great-nephew Emmett; his aunt Maria A. da Rosa of Bristol, RI and many cousins.
Visitation hours with prayer service will be held Saturday, July 16th from 9-11:30am at Boulevard
Funeral Home, 223 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
