Wayne Dubois

January 28, 2017, Wayne Francis Dubois passed away at home surrounded by his family at the age of 62. Born in Acushnet, Massachusetts to Eugene and Loretta Dubois, he was married to Judy (Lage) Dubois for 40 years. Wayne was raised in New Bedford and was a graduate of Southeastern Massachusetts University. He dedicated his career to Reynolds DeWalt, where he held various positions over 38 years. He is survived by his wife Judy. He was the beloved father of, and is survived by four sons: Scott and his wife Jennifer, Kyle and his wife Molly, Ross and his wife Alexandra, and Todd and his wife Stacey. He is also survived by Herman James, who was like a son. He was a proud and dedicated grandfather to Emaline, Calliope, Eleanor, Sol and Logan. He is also survived by his father Eugene, brothers Neil and Lee, and sister Susan. Wayne was predeceased by his mother Loretta and brother Kent. Wayne was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and friend, always willing to help loved ones with their latest home renovation project, serving as his sons’ baseball coach, participating as a member of the New Bedford High School Band Boosters Association and, later, visiting his grandchildren. He enjoyed family vacations to Walt Disney World, golf, and Chinese food. Visiting hours are 2 - 5 PM, Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Boulevard Funeral Home, 223 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford, MA. His funeral Mass will take place at 9:30 AM, Monday, February 6, 2017 at St. Mary’s Church, 196 Illinois St, New Bedford, MA. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease Foundation.
