William Oliveira

Funeral services were held for William F. Oliveira 96 of New Bedford who passed away January 3, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the husband of the late Arminda “Minnie” (Alves) Oliveira and son of the late Manuel Gomes Oliveira and Mary (Carreiro) Oliveira. He was born in Tiverton, RI and had lived in the New Bedford area most of his life. He was formerly employed by Lambert Rope as a machine operator until his retirement. William was a WW II veteran serving in the U.S. Navy as a “tin can sailor”. Survivors include his brother Manuel Oliveira of New Bedford, his sons Alan Oliveira also Michael Oliveira and his wife Pamm both of Minnesota. Burial, with Military Honors, was in Pine Grove Cemetery
