Yvette (Turgeon) LeBlanc 89 of New Bedford passed away, Thursday March 28, 2019 at her home. She was the wife of Raoul “Ralph” LeBlanc and daughter of the late Theodore and Ceda (Mandeville) Turgeon. She was a lifelong New Bedford resident. She was a communicant of Saint Anthony of Padua Church. Yvette was formerly employed as a nurse at New Bedford High School until her retirement. She was awarded the Marian Medal, representing St. Anthony’s Church. She belonged to the St. Anthony Seniors, the Women’s Craft Guild and the St. Anthony's choir. She also enjoyed going bowling. Survivors include her husband, her son Danny LeBlanc and his wife Paula of Gardner, MA, her daughters Maggie Tomkiewicz and her husband Steven of New Bedford, Deanne Burgess and her husband Gordon of Tiverton, RI, Lt. Col. (Ret) Dorine LeBlanc of the Villages, FL, Michelle Simmons and her husband Jim of New Bedford, Patty Byrnes of New Bedford and Amy LoPresti and her husband Joe of Woodbury, CT. She is also survived by her sister Claire Machado of New Bedford, 15 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Lorraine Arsenault. Her funeral mass will be said 10:30am, Monday April 1, 2019 at St. Anthony of Padua Church. Visiting hours are Sunday 4-6pm at the Boulevard Funeral Home 223 Ashley Blvd. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. For directions and guest book please visit www.boulevardfh.com.
