Zaida Silva

Zaida (Santos) Silva, 83 of New Bedford, passed away at home on November 12, 2021. Born in Nabainhos, Freguesia de Melo, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Joao Dos Santos and Natevidade (Figueiredo) Dos Santos and wife to Antonio F. Silva. Zaida worked for many years at Cliftex Clothing and was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Survivors include her husband; her daughter Filomena Delgado and husband Victor of Acushnet; son, Jorge Silva and wife Margaret DeBortoli-Silva of New Bedford; brother, Antonio Dos Santos of New Bedford; grandchildren, Pilar, Joshua, Adin, Jonathan, and Michael; great grandchildren, Lucca and Jaiden. She is preceded in death by her brother Joao Dos Santos and sisters, Amelia Amaral, Cremilda Esteves, and Beatrize Fernandes. Her Funeral Mass will be held Friday, November 19th at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception at 10am with burial to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday November, 18th from 5-8pm at the Boulevard Funeral Home, 223 Ashley Blvd.  All attendees are asked to wear face coverings.
